Welcome to Yale College Chess Club!

Yale College Chess Club is one of the largest and oldest clubs at Yale. We have over 1200 members on our panlist and a recorded history going back to 1885.

We welcome beginners and grandmasters alike! Anyone with a Yale affiliation is welcome to join our meetings. We meet to play and learn about chess every week on Thursday evenings.

Along with supporting casual play, YCC organizes chess tournaments in the Yale-New Haven and collegiate community with Chess Haven. YCC also sponsors teams to compete at intercollegiate tournaments throughout the year, including our annual Yale-Harvard Chess Match.
